Town Services & Amenities
Residents new to the municipality must visit the Municipal Office at 4918 – 50 Avenue to sign a Utility Services Agreement to receive water, sewer and garbage services.
Garbage Collection
Monday is commercial garbage collection day. There is a limit of 6 bags (26″ by 36″ plastic bags), no heavier than 40 pounds.
All cardboard must be taken to the recycle bin.
Excess Garbage
Recycling
Recycling bins are located at the Transfer Site. Items accepted include: Cardboard (not wax coated), Newspapers, Magazines, Paper Products, Plastic (clean), and Tin Cans (clean). Glass is not accepted, and absolutely no plastic is to be placed in the paper bin.
Transfer Stations
The Bentley Solid Waste Transfer Station is located on the west side of the Town. All Transfer Stations within the Region are operated by the Lacombe Regional Solid Waste Authority, of which the Town of Bentley is a member.
As of July 1, 2020, Lacombe Regional Waste Services Commission requires proof of residency in the form of a utility bill to access their waste transfer stations. Loads will be refused if proof is not shown to the attendant. A driver’s licence with a physical address will be acceptable if a utility bill cannot be produced (PO Box Numbers and RR# will not be accepted).

White Goods and E-Waste
Prentiss Transfer Station, located east of the City of Lacombe, accepts e-waste and white goods. Special conditions may apply for disposal.
Acceptable e-waste includes: Televisions, VCRs, DVDs, Gaming Consoles, Computers, Keyboards, Mouse, Printers, Scanners, Fax Machines, Laptops, Tablets, Cell Phones, and Cordless Phones.
