The Town of Bentley invites residents and property owners to a public meeting to discuss the proposed adoption of an updated Southeast Area Structure Plan. The ASP was adopted by Lacombe County in late 2023, but now that the land has been annexed, the Town of Bentley is proposing to re-adopt the plan as its own. This meeting will provide an opportunity to review the proposed plan and discuss preferred land uses and development standards for the area.
This is the first step in the process to obtain community input. In addition, a statutory public hearing by Council is required before the Area Structure Plan can be formally adopted. This public hearing will occur at a future date once public input has been incorporated into the plan and council considers it for first reading.
