GRADUAL RE-OPENING WORKPLACE GUIDANCE FOR BUSINESS OWNERS
Overview
This document has been developed to support all business and sectors (excluding health care
settings) in reducing the risk of transmission of COVID-19 among workers, volunteers and patrons.
This document outlines the criteria that should be
addressed in individual, written workplace policies and procedures established to address the
COVID-19 pandemic response. All workplaces are expected to develop and implement these policies and
procedures prior to re-opening or continuing operations after May 1, 2020. Industries or business
with specialized operations or aspects may be subject to additional guidance. Any
additional guidance made available is intended to augment this document.

Community Response
Several organizations and businesses within the Bentley and area are also following public health recommendations and taking necessary steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As such, events, services and facilities – run by external organizations within the community – may be impacted. Please visit the web and social media pages of the individual organizations for information on externally-run programs, services and facilities.
The Town of Bentley continues to amplify the messaging and response coming out of Alberta Health Services and Alberta Emergency Management Agency, as these are the lead organizations in our Province. COVID-19 is a global issue and things are changing rapidly. Since this is a global issue, the response globally, nationally, provincially and at the municipal level needs to be coordinated and be the same. We realize the strain and impact that this is having on the local population and the local business community and we wanted to provide you with some resources to assist your business through these difficult times:
